The ts-2000, tm-d700a, tm-v7a and all will do just that.  My daughters voice 
is great for faulsing the radios.  I know of no setting to fix it and simply 
have learned to live with it.

In fact, my repeaters DTMF will false on some people's voices including 
midrange to higher men's voices.  It is a function of the controller or in 
the case of the Kenwood radios how they set them up at the factory.

Remember, DTMF is a simple recognition of electronically generated tones at 
specific frequencies for specific numbers such as 4000hz
