Kent, do you have the Kurzweil 1000 or equivalent? If so, you might try
loading the pdfs into it and producing a .txt file.

Alternatively, you can email me a pdf, and I'll try that here.

Subject: reading ARRL antenna book 22nd ed.

Hi all,

After purchasing the ARRL Antenna Book, 22nd edition which indeed does
contain the text of most of the articles, I find that I cannot read the
text. I use JAWS and these files are in PDF format. When I access an
article the heading info reads great but it only includes, date created,
author etc. The body of the article doesn't read at all. After printing a
couple of the articles and getting someone to look at the printed pages, the
text is there. I assume that although the ARRL said that the text of the
articles is included on cd, it seems that they didn't mention that there is
no embedded text in the PDF files. Am I missing something that I need to
know in order to access the text or am I out of luck?

Thanks to you all,
