Hi David.

It is 27 feet tall, is designed to work like a half wave antenna, and
whether or not you put guy ropes on it depends upon how you mount it.  The
method that I used was to buy the tilt over base for it from GAP and use 4
bags of concrete to put the base in.  The antenna itself is fairly rugged,
as long as you have a substantial enough mount to keep it vertical.  Mine
is on about 10 ft. of mast bringing the overall height to about 37 ft.

Assembly is definitely complex.  It took me and a couple of my friends the
better part of a day to assemble it.  Of course we did it in the requisite
bad weather required for all good antenna installations!
