On 17 meters, voice modes are only above 18.110.

On 12 meters, voice is above 24.930.

That's an FCC rule, not just a volunteer band plan.

Both 17 and 12 meters are great, mostly under utilized bands.

When I ran a G5RV, it played very well on both of them, especially on 12
meters.

I've been given a Butternut Butterfly beam which works as a rotatable dipole
on 17 and 12. I hope to have it up and running by this fall. It's not a big
gun by any means, but it's light weight, and the price was right.
