I had a look at the   the wouxun and the Boafeng
Didn't see the one that Buddy mentioned.  I could get tempted if 
it would only speak the frequency even the memory  channel 
frequency but that doesn't appear to be the case.  Apparently 
folks have also had problems with the programming cable depending 
upon where it was purchased.  Wondering if this will bring down 
the prices from the major manufacturers? How speech friendly is 
the software that comes with these radios? Think if I had a thf 6 
a I'd hold on to it tight.  Now if I were buying my first 
handheld might give these radios a second look.
