I think Mike that hearing a second hand playback of a receiver, 
perhaps via a speaker and mike, but not necessarily likely doesn't 
give you a really good handle on how it sounds.  When, a few years 
ago I bought my IC756 PRO III I went to A E S in Milwaukee and tried 
several different receivers and got what I did because of the 
ergonomics and sound.  Awfully hard to get that feel via a recording.
