I've heard a few of those on GMRS, it's not legal, but I hear a lot of ham 
gear out there too in GMRS from hams that are involved in both like myself 
though I go the other day. My GMRS radio, commercial Kenwood radio, is 
actually programmed to go in to 440 though I don't use it much there.
