His question concerned accessibility.  In terms of the 480, it is a bit more 
accessible as mike level, power output all talk in the 480 which in the 2000 
they are just beeps.  The 480 si therefore a bit more accessible, as accessible 
as a rig can get actually.

Hi Eric;

If you had a TS570 then, the TS2000 is not much different.

The only difference is that you will have vhf and uhf capabilities in one
radio.

However, the major difference I found between both radios is that the
transmit audio on the 480 does not have that Kenwood signature foot print.

Also, the micas are wired a little different so that if you try to use an
MC60A or something similar, the results will not be what you want.

If I had to use a 480, I would use a 570 so, if you go with the 2000 you'll
be fine.
