As an extension to Jim's post, I have purchased lots of items on eBay with
no problems. Just recently I purchased a Baofeng UV5R Handheld Transceiver
through eBay; I received it very quickly. It is new and in perfect
condition. I paid $46.30 for it including everything, even free shipping.

I must add that I have also sold things from time to time on eBay too.
