Howard and others, it will cross band repeat but it isn't built for long
usage in that mode.  It gets hot and shuts down even on low power about 30
minutes to an hour of continuous use.  At least mine does unfortunately.  I
got it for that purpose and it works ok cross band repeating, or remote base
operations, but like I said, it doesn't like that 100 percent duty cycling
for very long.
