Hi Tom,

I never bothered to set the hands on my atomic watch cause it was not easy
to do, but I think that you do it this way.

First, find out what time the watch wakes up when you first put in a new
battery. Then you have to play with the time so that the hands on the face
match that startup time. Then, take out the battery for a minute or so and
then put the battery back in and you'll be in business.

Subject: off topic: syncronizing analog and digital times on talking atomic
watch

Hi, everyone.

I realize this is off topic, so please reply to:

[log in to unmask]

Last week, I took my "on Time talking atomic watch to a local jewelry store
in town to have the battery replaced. Ever since that time, the analog
hands on the watch do not match the correct spoken digital time. In fact,
the analog hands are about 13 minutes fast.

I tried letting the watch update itself, but that did not change the analog
time.

Does anyone know how to re-set the analog hands on these watches?

It's not a problem for me, but certainly would be a problem for any sighted
folks who want to look at the watch to see what time it is.
