John and Group,

You refer to groups and systems.  I assume that may be just semantics on the
part of the scanner manufacturer.  They may be eluding to trunk groups or
trunk systems but it still amounts to programming a "channel" whether it is
called that or not.  Anyway that's just my take.

It's like in the world of the internet when people refer to "social
networking sites".  Isn't that just other words for groups of people
communicating with each other.
