Hello, all.



Is anyone planning to play in the North American QSO Party CW contest this
week-end?



The contest runs from 1 p.m. Eastern tomorrow, until 1 a.m. Eastern Sunday
morning.  Maximum operating time is 10 hours.  The exchange is very
simple-name and state/province.



I will do my usual of starting on 10 and 15 tomorrow afternoon, and will
work my way down to 20, 40, 80, and maybe even 160 as the contest rolls on.



There are three things about this contest that make it especially appealing
to me.  First, it is a relatively short contest, which better fits my busy
week-end schedule.  Second, everyone is limited to 100 watts, which levels
the playing field for those of us who don't have super stations.  Third, it
is a friendly contest, and simply a lot of fun to play in as you often run
into the same people on different bands.



If CW isn't your thing, the North American QSO Party SSB contest is next
week-end, so there's lot of fun to be had by all.
