I agree with you Kevin. The thing is that I was forced into getting 20 WPM
way back in the early 60s and I thought I would never get up to 5 WPM. Not
being able to make a word when starting out on the air with a novice ticket
was a killer so I told myself I was going to beat this thing and got the
general and then the Extra. I Was forced into something I am thankful for
as for me I hardly ever pick up a mic. I know it is not for everyone
because some people don't like it and that is fine and I wonder if I hadn't
had to get the 20 WPM if I would ever got to enjoying it as I do so if they
drop it okay but I will say there is a lot more enjoyment in a CW QSO and
you don't have to know a foreign language to talk to anyone in the world So
give it a try and maybe you will find a missing treasure, CW Ed K7UC
