I'm with you, Steve.  I had a shack in the basement for years, and I had a 
lot of good times in that shack, but I gotta say there's nothing quite as 
nice as having the radios in a nice comfortable room in the house, and not 
having to share with the furnace, the washer and dryer, and all the other 
things that live in the basement.  Once, we had a surprise flood in which 
the entire basement filled with three inches of water in about ten minutes. 
No damage to the equipment, but I was sloshing around in boots while talking 
to a friend of mine on the radio.
