Walt,
The contact thing in Windows Live Mail isn't very user-friendly. It
highlights contacts on the screen, but you have to manually click them if
you are just trying to fill in an address from the fields.
It might be eaiser to do control-shift-c and go into contact manager. You
can find the list of contacts, highlight the person you want to send your
message to, and tab to the appropriate button. That's whe way I recall
doing it on my XYL's win7 machine.
