John the Alinco have had direct frequency input has far back as 1988 on
their dual band radios. I have three Alinco dr590 and they have never been
worked on. Good old work horses.

Come to think, at the region EOC I help out at, I don't think the alinco
duel banders there have the reverse either though I might be wrong, seems
though in my recollection they don't, I know direct freq input is not there.
I have to wonder if most alincos have that. I don't like alincos at all. I'm
at the point now where I can't wait for the radio I use every time there to
break like 1 other one did already so I can bring a radio in of my own and
leave it there. Probably my icom 27H. 1 guy does that already because 1 of
the radios has been out of service for longer than the year and change I've
been going there.
