Problem: I have a Victor Reader Stream. I can't listen to books because when
I turn on the machine, I receive a Media Error 5 message. How do I fix this?

 

Solution: To resolve the issue, you should try recopying the book to your SD
card again, or if that doesn't work, re-download it from the source /
website as the current files have errors within the files.

 

Here is a list of the media errors and what they are: 

 

MEDIA error 1: READ, Error reading sector on disc.

MEDIA error 2: FORMAT, Unsupported File system.

MEDIA error 3: MOUNT, Error while mounting device.

MEDIA error 4: AUDIO, Does not apply.

MEDIA error 5: FILE, Error accessing the audio file.

MEDIA error 6: WAV, Error creating new wav structure.

MEDIA error 7: MPEG, Error handling an mpeg file.

MEDIA error 8: VORBIS, Error handling a vorbis file.

MEDIA error 9: NO AUDIO, No audio output available.

MEDIA error 10: AMR-WB+, Error handling a AMR-WB+ file.
