Hi Colin and all,
This repeater can operate cross-band.
We had a demonstration at our local club. The repeater is very easy to set
up.

It might be just for clubs...similar to what Icom did with DStar repeater
packages.
The repeaters are dual band, but obviously only work on 1 band at a
time...not sure if they have some kind of cross band capability or not.
It's essentially a 2000 dollar repeater...we've checked into it, but the US
supplier is taking their sweet time getting back to us with details...I
think our club wants to buy 4 if we're allowed.
They make an excellent analogue repeater as well.
