Hi Steve and all.  I wonder what ever became of the old Halicrafters
stuff?

To answer your question, Jeff, the six meter rig was A M, but I don't
remember even knowing about two meters then.  It wasn't till a couple of
years later, that I discovered two meters repeaters, which were brand new
on the ham bands.  There were two or three in the Detroit area, if you
can emagine that.  I had an old Halicrafters S38 reciever that I brought
up to the school with me and another kid had a Drake 2B, I think.  I also
had an eleven meter rig, sorry to say!  HI HI
