There's a group on 3910 every day in this part of the country that does
nothing but stuff like that to get people going and most use legit call
signs, or what appear to be. I know a couple are because I've met them at
ham fests and that's all they want is to get people going. Maybe I'm twisted
but if I'm alone, everyone went to bed or what ever, I sometimes find them
entertaining because like a comedy show, I know not to take them serious.
That being said I can't say I'd be disappointed to see them all taken off
the air but they've been there doing the same thing since long before I
became a ham 18 years ago, they've all been fined, most have had license
suspensions and what not but they always come back and I don't think they've
had anything happen in over 10 years. Sometimes they go too far even to be
entertaining but more often than not they are entertaining. With all the
local groups coming up on 10 meters though I'm thinking if I have time soon
I may come up with an antenna for there and start getting back on there at
night.
