Is the control box for the rotor accessible?
What hex beam are you using.
Sounds like it is a nice setup.

Hello Brian,
I just put up a hex beam on a 35 foot mast.
I am using a Yaesu 450 rotor with the mast setting on the rotor mounted at
ground level. I have a bearring at the top of the house to allow the mast to
turn. The bearing came from yeasu as well. This cuts down the wind
resistance and weight at the top. This is working very well for me.
Give it a try!
Best 73.
