Beth,

Like others here on our list have stated, your ham license should not render
any more access to your personal information than any of the other sources
out there. In fact, a ham license won't reveal nearly as much personal
information as numerous other sources that are available to anyone who
wishes to investigate your background. For a very nominal charge, I can find
out everything there is to know about you, including any criminal record you
might have, any aliases you may have used, etc. Do not be alarmed! I have no
desired to waste my money on such things. <lol> I am just making a point.

I used to warn all of my university students about what they posted on
MySpace, Facebook, and other social media and any stupid things they are
doing or tempted to do because much of those things can be discovered in a
background check, especially a thorough background check. I had some
outstanding students be denied jobs because of the dumb stuff they did while
they were students that showed up on background checks when they were being
seriously considered for jobs.

Again, as I told Tom, my signature is an open invite for the RIGHT kind of
people to contact me if needed. I have a business email with pertinent info
in the signature. All that is for people who want to contact me. I just
don't think that anyone should, as I said before, know something about
dating violence complaints in 2004 or other thing.
