Hi Group,

I am still using an old Kenwood TMV-7A transceiver.  I want to know how 
to use the tone search feature without activating the tone squelch 
feature.  In other words, I want to use PL tones on the outgoing or 
transmit side, but have normal squelch on the incoming. Just how is this 
accomplished?

When I use the tone search feature by pressing and holding the tone 
button for one second, the search feature always find both incoming and 
outgoing tones.  When I try changing the tone feature by momentary 
presses of the tone button, I lose both incoming and outgoing tone features.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
