Hi all. When I attempt to program any CTCSS frequency into a memory
channel, it just won't take.
This is what I do:
(1) select band.
(2) select vfo mode.
(3) select the frequency, or, if I have a memory with all other things I
wish already programmed, I have the memory channel write to vfo via the
command function vfo, and my channel 0 is what I am attempting to
modify the CTCSS frequency for.
(4) press tone to the second high beep after the low, (off) beep which
turns on CTCSS.
(5) press function and tone key. The synthesizer says "ctcss frequency,
88.5
(6) rotate the tuning control until I hear the frequency I want, CTCSS 146.2
(7) press the tuning control.
Now, since both the tone and CTCSS frequencies are set, and the correct
offset was written to the vfo and it works fine, I wish to write it to
memory with function MR.
Well, when I do that I get a high beep which means it is not written
correctly.
WHAT IN THE WORLD AM I DOING WRONG???
It's got me truly bugged!
anyone else with the tmv71A have this issue?
and, if not, what has happened to mine?
:)
