It could well be the same.  Headroom is the key phrase.  However, there are
plenty of guys running 12KW and a lot more than that two.  I could easily
name 10 guys running 20KW, so they are out there.

is that the same company that produces the 40 thousand watt SS amp?
the german thing rang a bell.
I think I posted something to the list a while back about a german company 
who made amps up to 75K or something.
though they did have the 1500 watt options too.

12KW eh? is that for purposes of head room? like in the audio industry where

more head room means you just have to drive the equipment that much less to 
achieve the same result?
12KW might be a little over the top even for the 75 meter guys hahaha.
