Well, that's really disconcerting, considering what I paid for the mic when 
I bought it.

It's a good mic, but I'm just afraid that clip is going to come off, and 
then I'll have no way to attach it to my belt.

Kind of defeats the purpose of the mic, in some ways.

There is nothing outside, I'm not even sure there's a screw inside but you
can look,I think it's just a plastic snap on thing or plastic rivet or
something like that but you can take it apart and look, I know there's
nothing on the outside of either speaker mic I have for that radio.
