My wife is tough on everything so I got her a baofeng and have one for 
myself as well if I'm doing something where it might get wrecked. Really 
though, it does lack in a few departments in a real comparison and I don't 
think it will be used in a public service event. I'll use my commercial gear 
or the old IC-T90A for them, or the much older Yaesu FT-51 I keep forgetting 
I even have.
