Contrary to some of the traffic on this list, I have been assured by Wayne
Burdick, (elecraft president and hadware guru), that accessibility for the
k3 is under development. I offered to help when my k3 arrived, and he has
accepted. This acceptance has gone so far as to put me in touch with the
author of the assembly manual for the k3. I am receiving the unit as a kit,
and plan to get some sighted help and put it together; making notes along
the way for improvements in the manual to allow us to do as much of the
assembly as possible.

So, please everyone, give them a chance and check your facts before
denegrating their efforts. Elecraft has been the best company I have ever
worked with in terms of making their rigs accessible. I distinctly remember
emailing their promise to make their rigs accessible to this list about two
years ago.

I'll keep everyone posted on my progress when the k3 arrives. This is
scheduled for the middle of December.
