Jim, thanks for the info I don't know anything about either tuner.
We will see if we get any more comments.

Subject: Tuner for your amp.

Hi Junior, congrat's on your new amp. I got an ALS 600 amp last summer and
am also thinking about a tuner. Folks on this list recommend the MFJ 998
which can handle a full KW, but I also heard about the MFJ 994b which has
an SWR Audio feedback ALSO the MFJ 5124k interface cable for the TS590. The
994 tuner can handle 600 watts and since I only get about 400 or 450 out of
my ALS600, I figure I would be safe using it. My lower power out is because
the shack is a long way from the electrical drop to the house. Anyway,
that's another tuner to think about and discuss.
Also it's somewhat cheaper than the 998. I'd like your thoughts on the MFJ
994 tuner. 73, Jim WA6EKS

Subject: ALS500 amp

I now have a ALS500 amp with power supply.
All I need to get is a tuner for it.
Then I can get it on the air.
