Tom,

If you have any rubber grommets that will fit over the mounting screws for 
the transformer, put one between the chassis and the transformer mounting 
ears where each screw is and see what happens.

Also, sometimes the metal laminations in a transformer will vibrate if one 
or more didn't get glued together well during manufacturing.
