Hello,
does any one remember the 2 meter Radio shack Handy talkies? I remember once looking at one in a radio shack store in a local mall in northern Kentucky. The salesman didn't know I was a amateur radio operater. He told me you could take that radio and get on a repeater in Florence Kentucky and talk all over the world. as far as I remember Florence didn't have a repeater. but that is another story.
