I will be living in a home owner's asociation complex for a while then a
college dorm, I hope, plus I probably, hopefully will be going to the
Detroit convention this year. I am  totally blind with  light perception so
reading the screen is out .

Hey Sara,  Good to hear you on the list.  It's good to hear more females on
the list and on air.  This list is full of info.  HT's are one of the ways
to get on the air quickly.  It will depend on your sight acuity.  Either the
ICOM or the Kenwood have accessibility.  A good outside antenna is always a
