no that was the ic22s.  the s meaning synthesis.  the 22 preceded the a which was what I had which was a nice radio.  The s had an option (third party) had thumb wheels but  could not  always in its standard configuration get to every 5 kHz step.  the accessory jack on the back was the input for the outboard control.
