Hi, Group:

For the last couple of months, I have been posting, here, a direct link to the audio version of The ARRL ARES Newsletter. While comments I have received have been positive, some readers have pointed out that the link has to be cut edited, and pasted because unwanted characters appear in it, the equals sign. One member suggested that the problem might be with the font I have selected for outgoing mail from my Outlook Express. If this is the case, I don't know how to correct the problem. I am using Windows XP.

Early in the audio version, I recall having heard mention of a couple of direct links on The ARRL home page and wonder if non-members of ARRL can access those. I am a member. If so, posting a reminder to our group from time to time would be an alternative. In keeping with its willingness to allow QST to be recorded and distributed to qualified NLS patrons, I have been granted permission to post the link. Meanwhile, if you have suggestions regarding how I can rectify the problem of unwanted punctuation in my e-mail to this group and I can do it, I am willing to post the direct link which may be more convenient.
