Hi John and Mike:

I'm not really sure on the type of plug on the paddles or straight key, was never shown the difference between a mono or stereo plug. The one on the straight is a large one while the one on the paddles is a 3.5MM one and requires the small to large adapter to connect to the keying input on the back of the keyer. When I pull the paddles plug part way out of the adapter, the continuous sending stops and my thumb activates the dits but no daws with my finger.
