I'm glad they are offering that, but I don't see why we should bother with
UEB at our age. It was just a gimmick to help the authors of Braille
translation software to make more money. It's cumbersome, inefficient and
takes up far more space than traditional Grade 2 Braille. It was shoved
down our throats by the 2 major so-called consumer organizations of the
blind with little input from the average consumer. But I'm glad Duxbury is
offering that choice.

For what it's worth, I am currently using Duxbury version 11.2SR4, and it
does give me the choice between traditional grade 2 Braille and UEB.
For now, I'm sticking to traditional grade II. Braille, and will save
learning UEB as a possible retirement project on down the road.
I just don't have the time to try to master UEB right now.
