Well I did it.  I switched to uverse.  Internet seems ok,  phone I am not worried about and tv so far is awesome.  I can start recordings, schedule recordings and watch them too.  The only thing I can't do is delete the recordings after I watch them.  Not that big of a deal.  At least I can record and play back things that are recorded.  While not a total interface it is better than cox was for me.
