you know, I don't much care for IRLP or echolink, but, it is useful for
the times when you aren't able to work hf for one reason or another.
but, for mine, I love that challenge of working that hard to get station
on hf.

On 8/02/2009 6:35 AM, we were able to ascertain that Colleen Roth
pondered upon these thoughts, and proclaimed thus.:
> I do not like Echo Link.
> I think it is annoying to listen to. I think people who use it
> don't feel motivated to learn anything else.
> I stopped participating on one local net because echo link is so
> annoying.
> I still participate in Ares, Skywarn and HF traffic Nets.
> I figure that a little effort will get your General Class
> License. Then you can talk around the world.
> Some people just don't use common sense when they use Echo Link.
> I got me Technician License in 1992, became involved with Navy
> Karine Corp Mars in 1995 and obtained my General Class License
> February 26, 2007.
> I guess I just don't like all that funny noise resulting from
> Echo Link.
> Amateur Radio is really fun for those who just joined us. It
> really can be a valuable Public Service.
> I rarely got on just to chat. I do participate in Traffic Nets
> daily.
> Welcome Sarah.
