Hi Butch,
When the synthesizer is put in, the PF button is pushed once to announce the
frequency.  It can be changed to read the S-meter function.  Then as you
said, the enter key must be pushed twice for the frequency.  It seems to me
that the PF could read the frequency on one press and the S-meter on the
second.  It would be easier.  That enter key isn't always easy to find.  I
have learned that it is just above the upper  DSP slope knob.  Good luck.
