I thought they use skype for the HF handiham remote. It makes sense if they
did because skype is free and handihams charges nothing besides the
membership fee itself for people to use it. Incidentally I know you were
addressing John but as far as anything that read C.W. it seems to me like
that would be defeating the purpose of true copying. That a real enthused
C.W. operator first probably wouldn't be caught dead using some sort of
computer keyer, so as having something to decode it. I haven't used code for
years but I found that the skill with it was copying. So if you have a
device that does it for you, where's the skill? Where's the challenge? Oh
and as far as working contest remotely, logically as I think it over, the
station in which you're using to do the contest would be the one scoring the
points and that you as one of the operators is just simply using the
station. It's no different than if you're at a friend's house and using
their equipment, or if you're at a club station. Of course that's just my
logic though. I realize you were not asking me.

I believe that Handi Hams has a TS-480 that members can operate via the =
Internet. =20
What will happen when someone uses their computer to operate a contest =
station located in one or even multiple countries? I'd like to have =
receivers located on different continents for the next DX contest.
=20
John, how to you feel about the software that copies all the CW stations =
on a given band and lets you select the most needed multipliers?

Should people lose a license for linking d-Star repeaters? Using a =
d-Star dongle on a computer? =20
=20
DSP is unfair, if you can't hear the signal by ear, you didn't make the =
contact. And on and on the argument goes
Bend with the winds of change, even if they make your antenna fall down.

it's a fraudulent site, they claim you're on the air when in fact your =
not and it costs money if you can imagine that. Personally I think it's =
worse than echolink and anyone using it should lose their licenses =
permanently but that's probably not going to happen.
