Forwarding this back to the list, but deleting the Handiham version of the
article because it is too long to distribute in the body of a message on
this listserv.

Subject: Re: audio circuit for mfj-209

Hi Lloyd, Thanks for the bard site suggestion for the article and audio
demo. ~The ARRL link mentioned in the text quoted in Tom's post which was
quoted on the blind hams site earlier this week, and in the article itself,
quoted below, doesn't work since the redo of the arrl site. But I did a
google search for,
"adapting the MFJ 209 antenna analyzer for use by the blind,"
and the text quoted below, was the first thing that came up.
*Notes, To my knowledge, neither Chuck carpenter in TX, nor Chuck Olson in
MI, is building the m-count at this time.
(But I believe the 209 with the suggested interface will work with both the
Stinger singer from the AZ Scorpions, or the Freqmite from If memory serves,

small wonder labs, {both of which are at least somewhat still
available,}[either should work, although with less frequency adjility/only
to around 156 mhz for the stinger singer, and around 26 or so mhz for the
freqmite.])
Also, a technically savvy ham friend, after having read the article said that

it appeared all parts/some of which might have to be substituted with
differing part numbers, should be readily available. I'm trying to find
someone or someones who'd be willing and able to build 1 or some interface
boards for this project, and I'll keep you posted as to progress. Thanks to
all for all.
Danny Dyer, Wb4idu~
