yOu can download a $4 app that returnss much of the functionality of 
Windows 7.  It isn't perfect, but is a whole lot better than straight 
Windows 8.  The alternative is to do what I just did and that's to 
have Windows 7 installed over the top of Windows 8.  That's an 
expensive alternative and should be done by a very savvy tech--not by 
the average user.
