Bob, first, congratulations on your new Yaesu FTM400DR C4FM mobile dual band
rig. I am extremely curious; why did you purchase the Yaesu FTM400DR C4FM
transceiver as opposed to the Kenwood TM V71A?

Subject: New Rig

I just bought a new Yaesu FTM400DR C4FM mobile dual band rig. Yaesu offers
a voice synth and recorder board and I have installed it. There are only 5
buttons on the rig and yu can push the two tuning knobs. I downloaded the
manuals from Yaesu, but they are locked and I haven't heard from Yaesu yet.

I will figure it out, and enjoy the challenge, but this is not an easy rig
to use, but C4FM interested me!
