Don:

The PG5G cable plugs into the jack on the upper left-hand corner of the rig.

Be sure the cord is pointing to the left--away from the rig, so you get the
plug correctly aligned with the jack.

I'm going to send you a few e-mails now with some TMV71A materials,
including a front panel description, and a great audio tutorial by Steve
Dresser (one of our fellow listers).

I hope this material will be helpful.

Ok well didn't get it hooked up today or tonight like had planned as
arrived today at work; but, should have it on-line and working tomorrow.

Where does the pg5g cable connect to the radio?

Also is there a cheat sheet for the front panel so know what buttons do what
especially which one makes the voice readout?

Tnx cul 73

Congrats, Don, and it looks like you should be all set.

Once you get the rig, please know that we're all here to help with whatever
questions you might have.

Well folks just ordered today from HRO Atlanta my new TMV71A with the VGS1
and Pg5G which HRO agreed to install the VGS1 for me prior to shipping.

So should have my radio sometime soon this week as know in the past once
shipped only takes about one to two days from Atlanta to Pensacola.

So looking forward to getting this great radio and using it especially for
cross band repeat as well as everything else it can do for me.

I might eventually hook it up to EchoLink which didn't purchase that cable
today as wasn't' ready to do that at this time; but, once get over the cost
and payment of the radio might purchase that cable and give EchoLink a try
as have a second desktop computer that could dedicate for EchoLink.

Anything else anyone can think of that might want to purchase for the radio
down the road?

Thanks for all that provided great input as always.

Tnx cul 73 nr4dr
