    Hi, all:

Well, I tried checking again for the TS480 firmware version info, but still
had no luck, so I swallowed my pride, and got the XYL in on the effort.

With my XYL's assistance, we did the firmware version check on the TS480,
and, to me, it doesn't seem like I need to do the upgrade for this
particular unit.

Here's what she read to me from the screen:

P4435

M5495.

I don't know what the P4435 designation refers to, but the M5495 would seem
to indicate that I have version 1.03.

Does this make sense?

As I think many of you know, I have another TS480 in our motor home, that I
use for our summer travels, and that is an older one. Perhaps the firmware
upgrade will be necessary on that rig, but it is so cold right now, and the
motor home is all closed up, so I think I'll wait to check on that one till
warmer WX sets in.

One interesting note is that the VGS1 chip did not read this firmware
version info to me, so, at least in my case, sighted assistance was
required.
