Well, he has been a prominent DJ in the Washington DC and surrounding area for years.  He was part of a morning show team known as the Joy Boys along with Willard Scott for years before the act split up, and many people feel that the only reason Willard Scott was chosen for the Today show over him was that he was sighted.  And even though he hasn't worked full time for years now, he still hosts an old time radio program on Sunday evenings called the big Broadcast on WAMU.  I am sure others could tell you more about him.
