Got a battery pack built for the braillle lite 40.  Seems to work well.
One question however.

There are two round ports one on either side of the device.

Which one is the communication port and which printer?

Unfortunately the manual downloadable from freedom scientific only refers to 
the squarish ports on the braille lite 18.
