Funny you should mention that, Pat.  I knew one programmer who made sure 
that every piece of code compiled error-free and went to end-of-job without 
a hitch.  His secret: he carefully labeled all his subroutines, but none of 
them contained any executable instructions.  He was a consultant, and it 
took months to clean up his mess after he was gone.
