Screwed that up a bit.  The data jack in the middle is the 6 pin and the 
remote jack on the right which has the amp stuff is 8 pin.    Like Kevin 
said, you may want to search around for something  pre-made.   These mini 
dins are hard enough for sighted hams to solder.
